Candalariella aurella

Candalariella aurella is a calciphile that forms a yellow endolithic crust with yellow apothecia. At the BFS it was found growing on concrete footing. The photo shows Candalariella aurella (yellow) growing wtih Caloplaca (orange-red). Voucher specimen deposited at the UCR Herbarium, specimen no. 2173.
